Dear Neighbors and Friends of the Tejano Center for Community Concerns:
As you navigate through the pages of our website, I am sure that you will note that we, at the Tejano Center for Community Concerns (Tejano Center), are absolutely dedicated to fulfill our responsibility to our community with the utmost skill, determination, and pride. The information presented here illustrates our resolve to work together with you and the many others who share a vision for the continued well being of our neighborhood and the success of all who live here.
Through the years, I have had the privilege of being associated with this wonderful organization that is daily at the forefront of providing far-reaching opportunities to enrich and empower the lives of our neighbors and our children. Whether it is through our highly rated open-enrollment charter school district—the Raul Yzaguirre Schools of Success, our affordable housing program, our adult education program, our children’s shelter, our teen clinic, or our juvenile justice diversion program, the Tejano Center contributes to improving life circumstances for the residents of nuestro barrio—our neighborhood!
The Tejano Center is an amazing community organization. We have developed a strong network of support and collaboration both in Houston’s East End and in the South Texas community of Brownsville. I personally invite you to become a partner with us to continue our great work, providing comprehensive social, educational, economic, and housing services.
We are working to make a difference, and it is an honor to lead the Tejano Center in the service of others.
Manuel Lopez, CEO
