David Corpus

Tejano Center Board Chair and RYSS Board Vice Chair

David is Bank Office President of Allegiance Bank. He has worked in the banking industry for the past 36 years. David’s areas of expertise include commercial, industrial and commercial real estate transactions. He also has extensive experience in bank mergers, acquisitions and de novos. David serves on the Teacher Retirement System of Texas Board of Trustees (appointed by Former Governor Rick Perry in October 2013 & reappointed by Governor Greg Abbott in October 2019), which governs $175 billion in assets and is the 5th largest public pension fund in the United States and 13th largest globally.

David also serves on the Harris County Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors & Investment Officer (appointed by former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett. (Since September 2007)

David also serves as Chairman of The Board of Directors for Tejano Center for Community Concerns, Inc. (Since 2005)

In addition, David is also on the Board of Advisors for Accelerate Investors Foundation (New York City, New York).

David is also a former adjunct instructor (Finance, Management & Economics) for the Houston Community College Systems. David’s board governance oversight with public, private and non-profit organizations spans more than 30 years. David holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Management (BAS) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Our Lady of The Lake University at San Antonio, Texas. David and wife, Karla have one son, Luke. David and his family attend St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Kingwood, Texas.
