• Doing Business with the Tejano Center for Community Concerns

The Tejano Center for Community Concerns recognizes the importance of active participation in the community, whether it is empowering residents, educating children, offering social services, or establishing relationships with community businesses. Everyone has a stake in a strong community. For that reason, the Tejano Center welcomes the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with interested vendors who provide goods and services to support the organization’s many operations that have communitywide benefits.

The Tejano Center’s Purchasing Department handles procurement services for the entire organization as well as the Raul Yzaguirre Schools for Success (RYSS). This department is the point of contact for all vendors.

In an effort to improve communication with vendors, reduce administrative costs, and streamline the procurement process, all Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Proposals (RFP), Invitations to Negotiate (ITN), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Formal Quotes (ITQ) and Sole Source solicitations (SS) are posted on the Tejano Center’s website. It is the sole responsibility of all vendors to check for current solicitations and to follow procedures outlined on the website under the “Open Bids and RFPs” section.

A purchase order issued by the Purchasing Department is the only legal authorization for vendors to perform services or provide commodities for the Tejano Center and RYSS. A commitment, either written or verbal, from Tejano Center or RYSS employees without a purchase order issued by the Purchasing Department does not constitute an obligation by the Tejano Center or RYSS to a vendor. Vendors that perform services or provide commodities without a purchase order issued by the Purchasing Department do so at their own risk and at risk of non-payment.
