Since 2015, talks have been underway to bring the Tejano Center to this day. The groundbreaking for Sunrise Lofts. An 89-unit transitional supportive living complex for youth ages 18-25 who are aging out of foster care. There is a great need. Each year in Houston, alone, between 120-180 youth age out of foster care. Half of them have no where to go. And currently, there is only one other such facility in Greater Houston. Sunrise Lofts is expected to open January 2023.
