• FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

It takes a village to raise a child (African Proverb)

At Tejano Center for Community Concerns, through Family and Community Engagement (FACE), we are committed to the shared responsibility to develop and empower the next generation of community servants, workers, thinkers, creators, and family leaders.  FACE enjoys a unique position among Tejano Center programs and services. While many of its initiatives directly benefit RYSS students and families, its outreach also impacts the greater community.  The RYSS School Market, a partnership with the Houston Food Bank, for example, serves not only our school families, but senior citizens and other area residents experiencing food insecurity.  As an affiliate of UnidosUS, programs it makes available to RYSS are likewise accessible to qualifying clients of other Tejano Center programs. Our partnership with Houston Food Bank and affiliation with UnidosUS are only two examples of numerous community agencies that allow FACE to offer its robust menu of services.
